    poor design

The splitter doesn't have a spin on hydraulic oil filter. The engine is hard to start in cold weather. The log splitter clogs with bark and wood fiber because of the trough the block of wood sits in to be split.

Horrific design of a wood splitter.

This piece of garbage you claim to be a wood splitter has cost me more problems and time and money to repair. I'd be better off splitting it myself. Before you even consider purchasing this splitter, I warn you not to do so. Buyer be ware. The sides will bend out even without debris getting in the way. In my case I always kept it clear. The wedge somehow , by the pressure will get bent out ward and will begin to start splitting the round at you. It got me a couple times. Then the ram failed less than a year old. That cost me $350 plus $109 for a wedge. Now it's starting all over again. But this time the guide rail had bowed out so much, that the wedge came out of its guide. This morning before church I had to heat up the rails and beat then back down. What a disappointment.

I bought my Oregon 25ton splitter to alleviate splitting wood by axe etc. It turns out this splitter has saved time and energy as well as my back. I highly recommend this splitter..

    25 ton

easy starting and enough power to get thru most wood, if you are going to get large rounds or overly knotty pieces then you may need the 35 ton but the 25 does a pretty good job
